FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What or who is STIG?

The Systemic Therapy Interest Group in Yorkshire organises workshops by visiting speakers a few times a year. Organisation of the workshop programme is carried out by a few systemic practitioners in the Yorkshire region. It runs on a not for profit basis.

2. Who are the workshops for?

Systemic practitioners in the Yorkshire region and beyond. The workshops are also treated as networking events for practitioners to meet colleagues from around the region.

3. Payment

The workshops are self funding so we are reliant on attendees making sure that payment for their fees is with us at least three weeks before the workshop. We try to keep the workshop fee as low as possible so as many people as possible can attend. Invoices must be submitted to your employing authority at least six weeks before the workshop. We prefer for attendees to fund their own place and we will issues receipts to all on the day of the workshop.

4. Cancellations

If we receive notice of you cancelling your place within two weeks of the workshop, we cannot refund fees. This is because we will have calculated our costs around the number of attendees.

5. Venue

St Roberts’ Conference Centre, Robert Street, Harrogate. First right after Waitrose on Station Parade (one way street).

6. Transport

The bus and train stations on Station Parade are a five minute walk away. Parking is by meter in surrounding streets limited to 3 hours and but is also available in town car parks.

7. Times

Registration and coffee at 9.0. Workshops start at 9.30 prompt and finish at 5pm.

8. Lunch

Included in the cost of the workshop. Vegetarian food available.

9. Certificates of Attendance are available on the day of the workshop.
